Open Justice Baltimore VS. State’s Attorney’s Office
In 2021, BALT made another attempt to obtain public documents through the MPIA from the State’s Attorney’s Office. BALT submitted a total of five separate requests, including a request copying the one seen in the timeline above, to receive investigatory files of police misconduct for updated 2020 files.

The timeline below shows BALT’s second attempt at working with the State’s Attorney’s Office to obtain public files. The State’s Attorney’s Office became more uncooperative and further obstructed MPIA laws which resulted in another case being filed in October 2021.
